The Stairs through a Window

The construction in new study area in Love South -- called the Mezzanine Room -- got an addition yesterday with a concrete stairwell that had to be lifted with a crane and taken into the 2nd floor room through the window.  Not many people were around to see it happen, so we took some photos to record the event.

Work Continues on Mezzanine Room

You’ve been given a chance to test out different types of furniture for the Mezzanine Room and you’ve all had the opportunity to hear the lovely construction that's been going on for it.  So here are some pictures to keep you all involved on how the construction is going.

This is an update of the room as of September 24, 2013.

Students to Decide on Mezzanine Room Furniture

Starting this Friday at 10 am, we will be setting up a display in the second floor lobby of Love Library.  This display will have many different types of furniture possibilities for the Mezzanine Room, a new study area under construction.

You have about a week to come and test out the different types of furniture and give your feedback.  There will be a poll here: http://unl.libguides.com/ImproveUX where you give us your feedback.  Whiteboards will also be set up around this display so that anyone may write down their opinions on which furniture they like best, and would like to see in the library.

This is your chance to make the library look how you want it to look, so don’t miss out!

Demolition in Room 201 has begun

The staircase to the mezzanine in Room 201 (formerly Media Services) is being demolished this week and next. Excuse the noise for now.  A new and wider staircase is being planned for this new study area.
